As I promised you in my previous article , I'm back to continue with part 2 of the step-by-step guide to optimize your LinkedIn profile and help you reach 25 points in Professional Brand in the Social Selling Index (SSI).
Let's keep improving your profile!
HOW TO OPTIMIZE YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE
Before we begin, I want to remind you that the more complete your profile is, adding valuable information and quality content, the closer you will be to achieving an ideal score. Now, let's continue with the step-by-step process.
STEP 6: ADD AS MUCH MULTIMEDIA CONTENT AS POSSIBLE
An enjoyable way for your audience to consume the content you want to share is by including videos, presentations, blog posts, infographics, etc.
The “featured” section is the ideal opportunity to show the network content aligned with your positioning strategy. A way to tell your prospect why you are on the network and what you have to offer.
STEP 7: YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE MUST ALWAYS BE COMPLETE AND UP TO DATE.
Describing your professional experience is a fundamental step in optimizing your profile, but it is also important to do it well.
Therefore, it is necessary to avoid writing long paragraphs of prose and malaysian numbers instead use short sentences or bullets. When describing what you have done in each of the positions you held previously, it is important to focus on the interests of your current potential client and try to link your achievements as much as possible to the value proposition of the company you are currently working for.
Complementing this section by also incorporating some multimedia content always adds value.
This section should be visually pleasing, so it's always a good idea to include the company name and logo. If that company has a LinkedIn profile, it's a good idea to search for it and select it when adding your work experience.
STEP 8: HIGHLIGHT YOUR EDUCATION, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS.
It is important to include education as comprehensively as possible and highlight the largest number of courses, training completed and certifications obtained in the “Licenses and Certifications” section.
Remember, the more information you provide, the better chance you have of raising your SSI score.
STEP 9: GOOD MANAGEMENT OF YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS GENERATES TRUST.
Just like in the real world, recommendations are very important for your LinkedIn profile as they represent an element of trust building.
