Facebook has unveiled a prototype of an augmented reality bracelet. According to the gadget's creators, the bracelet will read signals from the brain to nerve endings in the hands. Initially, the device will be able to capture only primitive mental commands, such as bringing the thumb and index finger together.
Facebook expects that in the future this device will allow a person to type text and even control virtual objects, performing the same actions as if he were interacting with these objects in the real world. "These signals allow you to transmit clear single-bit commands to your device, this level of control is highly personalized and adaptable to many situations," the company said in a statement.
