Storytelling
Before we delve into the brand story, I want to talk to you briefly about storytelling. There are different definitions of storytelling. I use this definition myself:

Storytelling is telling credible stories that are relevant to the target group and that ensure that there is a connection between events. These stories ensure that the target group understands (complex) information, remembers the information and an emotional bond is created.

A well-written story contains a number of characteristics:

It stands alone and has a beginning, middle and end
It features a main character, a storyline where example of whatsapp number in philippines the main character goes through a development as a result of a dilemma, conflict or struggle and contains opponents and allies
It connects events
It is authentic
It's personal
It is stimulating (for example, evoking or conveying emotion)
What is a brand story?
A brand story is a short strategic text that states who or what you (as a brand, company or person) are and what you do. The story starts at the moment your company was founded, tells the history of your company and provides insight into your mission, vision, purpose, values and why.

The brand story describes the soul of your company. It should grab the reader, inspire them and ensure that a bond is created with your (potential) customer. You don't put such a story on paper in a jiffy.

The advantage is that the brand story is for you and you don't have to let your customers read it. For your (potential) customers you make a translation of the brand story. We call that a corporate story . Such a corporate story is often somewhat more modest and has examples to prove the claims in the story.
