USP & UBR: what was it again?
We are talking about what sets your company, shop or brand apart from the competition. USP stands for Unique Selling Point / Proposition . The unique selling points are the 'unique sales reasons'. This is viewed from the organization. UBR's are Unique Buying Reasons . The unique reasons why someone makes a purchase from you. This is viewed from the side of your customer. The reasons themselves can differ from each other, but what they have in common is that they are unique. And unique means that there is only 1 of them. That your company or your product is the only one that has that property. The only one. That word in particular seems to be forgotten often.

USPs can be communicated to the customer in various ways for a webshop. When a shop invests money in a (professional) corporate identity with accompanying website design, these reasons (if all goes well) are clearly presented. But this can also be conveyed through marketing expressions. For example, USPs are often used as highlight extensions in Google AdWords or used in Facebook advertisements.
