Traffic Strategy #4: The Community Guru
What do you do if you don't know anyone but want to make lots of new contacts? You go to a party where people are gathered who are interested in your topic. On the Internet, such parties are called communities.
They have always existed and always will: back then they were forums, today they are Facebook or LinkedIn groups.

What should you do instead?
Become a leader.
Help others, answer questions, post useful articles (that aren't yours) and comment sensibly. Someone asks for tips on how to deal with writer's block ? Then give tips. Someone needs help writing headlines ? Give five good headline ideas.
Over time, you will emerge as an opinion leader and “leader” of the group. People will trust you and listen to you. You will become a kind of guru.
And if you post your article every now and then, they will enjoy reading it and not see it as spam.
