Johan: So, it has evolved quite a bit, but since then… So, the podcast Marchez Avec Johan, I must have created it in 2013-2014, I think, where… In fact, I have always been someone who likes walking. And in general, when I walk, I listen to content. And one time, I wanted to create content during which I was walking and people liked it. And so, I did it once, twice, three times, then I stopped, people told me: "we liked it", so, it became a habit and I have been creating an episode per week since… yeah, I think, since 2014. We would have to check, but more or less.

And to find topics, it's pretty simple, I have two... actually two places that I'm going to draw from. The first place is it can happen to me, when I have an idea or I'm thinking of something or I've had a problem that I've managed to solve, to just write, I open a note on my phone and I write "UPDATE", like Walk With Johan, and just a few words, just so that I remember: "OK, this is a topic that will be interesting". So, before preparing my episodes, I type "UPDATE" in my note app and I have a few notes that come out.

And the second thing… Actually, every morning, I get up earlier than my family, I read some… I have a reading ritual, and I have a journal that I write in. I'll either pose a problem, try to think it through on paper, or I'll share an experience or I'll write about what I've read. And so, before every episode or before every recording, I'll look in my journal. So, I open my journal, I open my notes app, and usually, I have my topics.

Gwendoline: OK. Another question that everyone asks: do you always walk in the same

Johan: More or less, it depends. I still tend to go more or less to the same places, because we always have... In fact, when you create content, unfortunately, there is not only the content itself, there is everything that is around it and that is linked to the technique. Of course, we do not see it, but just recording this video, it is a lot of iraq whatsapp number data preparation in terms of lighting, sound, etc. So, for podcasts, it is also a bit the same thing, since there are places where there is noise, places where there is wind. And so, I have a few places where I know I will be quiet. There are other places where I will meet people. So, I select two or three places where I walk and which are suitable for recording.

There were a few anecdotes, including a podcast from Marchez Avec Johan during which I was walking in fields and I came face to face with hunters, actually, and I was recording. And there was a hunter who told me: "we have to leave here, we're hunting." I said: "But there's no sign, it's not indicated." So, that's it, that was captured in the podcast episode. But I would say "yes, I tend to record pretty much always in the same place."

Gwendoline: OK. Thank you for sharing with us the behind the scenes of the episode Walk With Johan . One last question. You recently told us that you read the Bible every day, every morning. What does that bring you on a personal level?

Johan: So, to put the context back really, really briefly, without making it too long, I confided in this spiritual subject for the first time in a podcast episode, in November 2023, and I also recorded a video that came out at the beginning of 2024 in which I explain my journey. So, the best thing is perhaps to look for this content to understand my journey. I was raised in an atheist environment, I had a long search and I have been interested in Christianity in general for many months. And so, I think that the best place to try to better understand this spirituality is to read the source in fact. So, it is indeed part of my morning ritual. I try to alternate between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

And what it brings me a few months later is, I think, a certain serenity and a certain requirement. In fact, it adds a certain requirement in me, since… and I talked about it in an episode of Marchez Avec Johan a little while ago… there are certain moments during which I say to myself: “Okay, you’re going to act in a moral way in front of your family, for example, to set an example for your children.” So, it’s something that’s quite easy to do whatever our spirituality…
