something that is a weakness can become an asset.

Of course some people have advantages. We don't have the same chances if we live or are in a very wealthy family as if we live, if we grow up in a very poor family where the main concern is to put food in the fridge. Obviously we have less chance of succeeding, we don't all have the same chances. But yet, we really find great stories of success, as I said, among people who seemed not to have a lot of assets in fact at the beginning. So, that's something very interesting to note.
Some people, if we take the poker analogy, start their life with a 2 and a 7, others with a pair of Aces, but sometimes it's the one with the bad hand who wins the game and it's the one who had the so-called... handicaps at the beginning of his life, well, who succeeds the most.
So, the idea is really to obviously remain lucid. We are not here to say that we have an equal chance of succeeding. That is clear. We must also remain lucid and clear on the subject, but we must not despair or worse waste our energy saying that life is unfair for example, even if it is sometimes the case, life is obviously unfair in many ways, but it is a waste of energy and time to focus on that. We cannot change that in the same way that we cannot change the cards we are dealt at the beginning of the poker game. We cannot change it.
On the other hand, what we can change is what we do with the cards, how we are going to move forward? How we are going to work? How we are going to persevere? How we are going to ultimately do everything in our power to improve our lives regardless of what we received at the beginning?

So, you see, something that is a weakness can become an asset. And we are very happy to see that in Emma. She has also developed a very good memory, since she had these difficulties learning the mechanisms of writing and reading, and so, she has developed an excellent memory. This weakness helps her in many ways. So, you see, sometimes we start with cards that seem to be bad, but life is such that, like in poker, what is dealt puts us in an easy situation.
So, of course, we have to qualify all that, eh. The first time I heard Jim Rohn say that in the end the same thing happens to all of us, etc. it's not entirely true. Some have advantages, clearly, and some have disadvantages, clearly. I think there's nothing to say about that. I usually say that I'm lucky to have been born in France, in a country where there was education, schools, in 1982 and not in 1882 or 1782. So, that's luck, clearly. It was better to be born in France in 1982 than in a very, very poor country in 1782. I think that's clear. I was extremely lucky that my parents supported me and educated me.
