How to get bounce rate in GA4?

Post by Habib01 »

2. Bounce rate
Bounce rate tells you what percentage of the total number of visits people came to the page and did not click away from it.

Generally speaking, the lower the bounce rate, the better. However, it's a bit more complicated and I'll go into more detail about bounce rate in the article .

The most convenient way to track this metric is within Google Analytics if you are still using Universal Analytics - GA4 no longer displays bounce rate and uses the so-called engagement rate instead.

You subtract the engagement rate from one hundred ( 100 – engagement rate = bounce rate ).

If the Engagement rate is 60 then: 100 – 60 = 40 —> The bounce rate in this case is 40.

You can find the engagement rate under: Acquisition → User Acquisition → summary table

3. Main sources of traffic
In the same table (see above) where you can find the engagement rate, you can also find the switzerland phone number data sources of traffic. How many people find you from

organic search
type your website address directly
How many visits come from social networks?
how many of the email campaigns
There is useful information that I don't use practically most of the time, but when I notice an "anomaly", it is a great starting point for further investigation.

4. Equipment used
I don't use this statistic very often, but it's definitely good to look at it once in a while to keep an overview.
