A demographic analysis of MLM business participants in the UK reveals an interesting picture. According to DSA UK data for 2024, the vast majority of distributors – 93% – are women. The age structure is also quite revealing: 91% of distributors are over 35 years old. A significant proportion (42%) have school-age children, which highlights the appeal of this business model for parents looking for flexible forms of employment.
The level of education of distributors is quite high: 38% have twitter data a higher education or an academic degree. This destroys the stereotype that MLM business attracts mainly people with a low level of education. On the contrary, many highly educated professionals consider network marketing as an additional opportunity to realize their potential and increase their income.
It is noteworthy that for 51% of distributors, network marketing is not the only source of income - they combine it with their main job. At the same time, 52% of MLM business participants have been working in this area for more than 5 years, which indicates the long-term attractiveness of this business model. More than half of distributors (63%) have built their team, which indicates the active use of the multi-level aspect of this business.
