A new study conducted by CELI , H-Farm 's Artificial Intelligence company , and research firm Kkienn , found that smart speaker adoption among Italian online consumers has already reached 13%. The typical user is between 25 and 45 years old and lives in a large urban center.
Amazon Echo remains the market leader , with adoption shop by just over half as many consumers as Google Home, despite Alexa arriving in Italy six months after the Mountain View smart assistant. In other markets, the first mover has generally gained a strong market share advantage.
The main use of smart speakers is for streaming music , followed by weather information . Only a fraction of consumers use them to check the time and set an alarm , while an even smaller portion uses them for listening to the radio .
