Another failure: Monetizing from Home

Post by mstajminakter16 »

Earning money from home was always a goal I had set for myself. But this time, the strategy I had in mind was a bit more dodgy than ever. However, who knows? It could work.

The idea was simple : leverage affiliate programs and discount coupons to generate revenue. While it sounds simple, the execution was quite a challenge and I honestly don't know if the coupons actually worked. But hey, the adventure was worth it!

The least clean way I tried to monetize
The strategy I used to try to make money from home was quite peculiar. It was based on the use of coupons and discounts in affiliate programs. Here's how it worked:

Pages provided links to coupons and discounts on affiliate programs.
I would take those links and spread them everywhere.
If someone used my coupon, I earned $0.5.
The strategy was clear and the desire to make it work was huge. I took it so seriously that I even had KPIs (key performance indicators) . My goal was to join 30 Facebook groups every day to spread the word about the coupons. list of guatemala cell phone numbers How shady! I was talking to anyone, in any language, from anywhere in the world, all for that $0.5.

Contextualizing the strategy
To better understand this strategy, it is important to know the context in which it was developed. Affiliate programs are a popular form of online monetization. Basically, companies offer affiliates commissions for each sale or action they generate through their links.

In this case, coupons and discounts were the hook to attract users. The idea was that by offering a discount, more people would be interested in making a purchase and therefore I would earn a commission. However, the execution of this strategy was not as simple as it seemed.

The challenge of disseminating coupons
One of the biggest challenges of this strategy was getting the coupons out there. To maximize the chances of someone using my coupons, I had to reach as many people as possible. So I joined 30 Facebook groups every day and shared the links in each one.
