“With Holded we have integrated management into a single software” – Javier Iglesias, Marketing Director of Ximénez-Spín

Today's post is an interview with Javier Iglesias, Marketing Director of Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola , a company that has been using Holded since July 2017. Interview with Javier Iglesias, Marketing Director of Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola
Before starting this interview with the Marketing Director of Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola, Javier Iglesias , we will briefly explain the history and current situation of these famous wineries, owned by a family of winegrowers who have been producing wine since the 18th century:
Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola belongs to the successors of Phelipe Antonio Zarzana Spínola, whose first wine export dates back to 1729, and is dedicated to the production of wines made exclusively from Pedro Ximénez grapes.

Located in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, these Jerez wineries currently have an annual production of 70,000 bottles of wine.

Currently, 12 people work at Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola, and the increasing complexity of business management – ​​given that they export their products to more than 25 countries, including iceland number data England, Italy and Japan – made it necessary for them to start using our business management software in July 2017 to streamline invoicing , carry out and control the company's financial planning or cash flow , and as a relational CRM tool .

1. What problems did you have with business management that made you realize you needed a software tool?
Javier Iglesias: Basically, the fact that the entire management of the company was very disaggregated: for commercial management we used Pipedrive, for online sales we used Shopify, and for invoicing and accounting we were using very archaic local software. We realized that our way of managing the company was not exactly efficient, and that we needed a tool that would allow us to centralize and optimize all management processes . So we started to try all the most popular ERPs on the market, but none of them convinced us. Until we tried Holded and managed to integrate everything into a single management software, which we complemented with all the Google Business tools.



2. What “buts” did the most popular ERPs on the market have for you?
Javier Iglesias: Lack of versatility. None of the ERPs we tested is as versatile as Holded. For us, the main drawbacks of most ERPs are that they are rigid systems with no possibility of customization, they have very high implementation costs , and they are very complex and unintuitive software.

3. What were the reasons why you decided to choose Holded?
Javier Iglesias: As I was saying, we had already tried several ERPs and none of them completed the circle. At a time when we were already somewhat frustrated, we tried Holded. And we quickly made up our minds. In addition to its versatility and ease of use, one aspect that also convinced us was that, unlike other business management software, in Holded we see new integrations every week. So we took advantage of the summer break in 2017 to import all the data and get it up and running.
