In 2009, Sony introduced the current version of the PlayStation logo, and there are a few changes that you’ll notice. Can you spot them?
You may first notice the change in color – from multiple colors, the new logo looks sleek with its estonia telegram black shade. By looking at this logo, you can tell that Sony wisely played with the negative space to show off the new color.
Aside from that, Sony also removed the wordmark and let the pictorial logo do the job!

In this section, let’s check out how the PlayStation consoles have evolved over the years:
PS2
When the PlayStation 2 was released in 2000, it became one of the most successful gaming consoles ever. It featured a sleek black design with a small PlayStation logo in the upper right corner. The PS2 was a simplified version of the original design, with the stylized “S” removed.
PS3
In 2006, Sony released the PlayStation 3, featuring a more modern design, curved shape, and a glossy black finish. The console’s logo was similar to the one used for the PS2, retaining the simplified version of the original logo.
PS4
Released in 2013, the PlayStation 3 featured a more angular design with its matte black finish. The console’s logo was similar to PS3, and some might even say that it’s just the same logo.
