GGoogle is constantly trying to keep bad online practices at bay , especially when it comes to combating webspam sites, a battle in which the search giant is gradually gaining ground, not only by informing Internet users about how to avoid and report these practices, but also by using its artificial intelligence to detect and eliminate them.

Google uses Artificial Intelligence to combat webspam pages
One point to clarify is that when we talk about webspam we are not referring to those annoying email messages that are classified as spam in our inbox. Webspam pages are defined as those that try to denmark business email database trick Google's algorithm to improve their positioning, or directly carry out illegal activities.

Among the elements considered part of webspam pages are:

Using deceptive redirects to other websites
Pages that have no content, or whose content does not make sense.
Hidden or invisible text on the website.
Pages that imitate other websites, or those that impersonate a person.
Websites with fake reviews.
Websites that are created to collect user data and are used for illegal purposes.
Thus, webspam pages are not only designed to improve their positioning in search results, but they also trick users into providing personal or financial information, or into subscribing to a service with unclear terms.
