Key findings from the State of SEO report
SEJ’s State of SEO report predicts that machine learning and artificial intelligence, Google updates, and disabling third-party cookies will be the biggest changes in SEO for 2023.

To properly prepare for future threats, SEJ asked respondents what they thought would be the three most important changes in SEO in the coming years. Here are their answers:

Machine learning and AI will be central to SEO in 2023. It is already being used in various aspects of SEO, from content optimization to link building and keyword research. Even AI content is already being created today.

When Google’s August 2022 Helpful Content Update netherlands phone number list was released to “ensure people see original, helpful content written by people, for people, in search results,” the first impression was that it was targeting AI content tools.

According to the search engine's webmaster guidelines, Google search advocate John Mueller considers content automatically generated using AI writing tools to be spam.

The only way to ensure your content is well received is to know your audience inside and out and use machine learning and AI as productivity aids, while never losing the human touch.

In addition, it has a larger share in food and beverages, with a market share of around 15.6%, compared to 2% for Amazon, the leader when it comes to grocery sales.

Not everything is a bed of roses…
The results of this investigation come at a time when Amazon has just announced a wave of employee cuts and a hiring freeze that is expected to extend until 2023.
