The 8 most impactful talks from RD Summit 2019 according to the 8D Hubify team

Post by Fgjklf »

RD Summit 2019 took place at the beginning of November — between the 6th and 8th — and, as always, the 8D Hubify team was in strong presence at the biggest digital marketing event in Brazil.

We asked each of the employees who participated in this experience to share insights from the lectures they enjoyed the most. You can check out each one below!

Happy reading!

1. Choosing Vinícius (SDR) — Let's sell: The best strategy is attitude
I chose the lecture given by Alfredo Soares — a 31-year-old from Rio de Janeiro, entrepreneur and speaker with extensive experience in entrepreneurship and sales .

He is currently Head Global SMB at VTEX (the largest marketing list of rv owners e-commerce platform in Latin America) and is in charge of Loja Integra (a platform with more than 600,000 virtual stores created).

The main achievements of his career were founding Xtech Commerce (a platform that transacted more than $500 million reais) and the startup Socialrocket.

Why was this talk impactful to me?
When I found out that Alfredo would be speaking at the Summit, I immediately blocked my schedule to see him . I have known his career for some time and his easy-going, talkative manner and knowledge of sales and marketing strategies like few others made me eager to meet him in person.

In his presentation, he said that he started selling business cards to pay for the combos at the Rio clubs he frequented, but he had no idea that it would be the beginning of a millionaire career.

Additionally, I would like to highlight some of your phrases that I liked the most:

“don’t be the only one in your market, be unique to your customer ”;
“Selling is not exchanging a product or service for money. Selling is about enchanting, solving the problem and delivering the intangible behind every offer";
“In the digital world there is no such thing as 'I think', there is only metrics”.
