Therefore, this code will have been given to you by the organization you registered your music with. You can also obtain it by contacting the ISWC International Agency . In the US, ASCAP is the official issuing agency for ISWC, and you can also request an ISWC from them whether you are a member or not.
Think of it as a digital fingerprint for your music. It will help ensure that you and anyone else connected to your music get paid exactly what you're owed.
