Serra Gaúcha is a region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul that receives more than 6.5 million tourists per year, people who come from all over the country and return home delighted. Being here brings us closer to large centers, such as Porto Alegre, which is approximately 90km away and is the 6th largest economy in Brazil .
But it doesn't stop there! Right here in Serra Gaúcha is Caxias do Sul, the city with the 2nd largest GDP in Rio Grande do Sul and home to the 2nd largest metal-mechanical hub in the country and one of the largest in Latin America, with over 6,500 industries , second only to São Paulo.
In the neighborhood we also have Novo Hamburgo, which is known as the National Footwear Capital , where the International Footwear and Leather Goods Fair takes place, one of the most important in the sector.
And here in Nova Petrópolis, the city we chose and that welcomed us so well, considered the Garden of Serra Gaúcha , it is also the National Capital of Cooperativism, as it is home to the first credit union in Latin America, which has been operating since December 28, 1902, Sicredi.
