Google is increasingly changing page titles in search results

After some discoveries in the SEO world, there was an official statement from Google on August 24, 2021 regarding the processing of page titles in the search results. Under the title " An update to how we generate web page titles ", Google now explained that headings can also be used as page titles or that Google also likes to use its own creations if (according to Google) it better fits the corresponding search query.

But of course not every page can be tested manually and even though Sistrix reacted quickly and offered an extra solution in the tool ( source ), I would like to introduce you to an ingenious and simple free solution here today.

Based on the first idea (below), Christian Hänsel has taken the namibia phone number data whole thing a little further and now compares the page title in the Google results not only with the meta title but also directly with the H1 heading . Pretty practical for getting even more insights.

The "installation" is very simple. Simply highlight the JavaScript code and drag it into your browser's bookmarks bar. I use Google Chrome for this, but it should also work with Mozilla Firefox.

You can then simply click on the bookmark in any Google search to execute the Javascript code and you will see different or the same titles.
