Business card tip # 6 – It doesn’t always have to be the standard cardboard
If your budget allows it and you really want to stand out with your business cards, then think about other papers or even other materials. Sure , 300 grams per square meter of white offset cardboard is inexpensive - but it's also just standard. Even a Chromolux cardboard can make you stand out - just because it feels a little different. Or you could try a particularly strong cardboard. I will never forget the little "breakfast board" that a gentleman once gave me at a networking event. Very classy, with gold print - and it suited him and his business perfectly. Other finishes you can think of are varnishing (especially partial varnishing, for example just of your logo or photo), embossing, rounded or cut corners (why not just one?), the use of special colors gold or silver or ...
