When I understood this calculation, my goal suddenly became realistic. I understood that I didn't need 1 million casual scanners, but 1,000 die-hard fans who would be willing to sell their mothers for my product.
1,000 fans? That sounds doable.
This realization was very liberating.

How to get your 1,000 true fans
I want to be honest with you: I haven't found my 1,000 true fans yet. At the moment, I estimate the number of my diehard fans to be a few hundred - which isn't bad. But I'm not there yet.
But I am well on my way there – and I am already further along this path than many others.
