Several steps to index a website.
Step 1: URL
It all starts with a list of known URLs. Search engines discover these netherlands mobile database URLs through a variety of methods, but the three most common are:
Through backlinks. Search engines already have an index of trillions of web pages. If someone adds a link to their own site from those pages, the search engines can find the link from those pages.
Through a sitemap. A sitemap lists all the important pages on your website. If you submit your sitemap to search engines, it helps them find your website faster.
By submitting a URL. General search engines also allow you to submit a single URL through the background.
Step 2: Crawl
Crawling is the act of visiting and downloading pages by crawlers called spiders. Search engines rank URLs to crawl based on factors including:
Importance of URLs
URL update frequency
Is the URL new?
This is important because it means that search engines may crawl and index some pages before other pages. If your site is large, it may take a while for search engines to fully crawl it.
