Other similar cases: Kai Cenat and Piqué

Post by Abdur14 »

Although this is not the only case of brands or creators carrying out controversial marketing actions on the street. An example is what happened this summer in New York, whose protagonist was the influencer Kai Cenat , who faced charges for inciting riots and promoting an illegal meeting. Cenat gathered thousands of his followers under the premise of giving away electronic products , including PlayStation consoles.

This gathering, which was not controlled by any kind of measures, unleashed chaos. Some people jumped over vehicles, threw objects and hit each other, which caused several people to be injured and at least four to leave the place in an ambulance. Finally, the police arrested 65 people , 30 of them minors.

What can we learn from the Wallapop controversy on Mother's Day?
And another more recent example, and closer denmark number data geographically, is that of Piqué and the Kings League in Malaga. In September, the former footballer encouraged his Malaga fans to bathe in the Fountain in Plaza del Obispo to get a double ticket for the Kings League . Something that is totally prohibited and can lead to fines of up to €750.

After the mayor of Malaga reproached the former player for what happened, he apologized and said he did not know that the fountain was protected . Likewise, one of Piqué's teammates in his streaming suggested giving away tickets to those who picked up more trash from the ground in the city, to encourage civility and compensate for what happened.

These past experiences make us doubt that the sizing was even a mistake. Maybe they were looking for exactly this? The tumult, the news, and to be more popular to really make money with the post-event discount campaign, and not with the one with the gift on the street. What do you think?
