How to use your dashboard for eCommerce

Post by Abdur14 »

This is a basic example of indicators for a very basic dashboard, in which the KPIs are mostly taken directly from the metrics and do not require complicated elaboration. Obviously, each eCommerce must reflect on what it is most interested in measuring and find a way to have a numerical parameter for it.

The point is that the table above is not a dashboard per se, but rather an example list of basic indicators that are easy to obtain without using complex tools. There are many more indicators that can be used.

For example, the effectiveness indicators of your marketing campaigns in general, and specifically of your online advertising campaigns, combining the data from the advertising platform you use with those from Analytics, with special emphasis on the relationship between advertising investment and sales increase.

To properly use our dashboard, we need to define a few more things:

1. Update and query frequency
If you have an ERP or similar system, or are willing to invest in a tool that collects and calculates this data, it is ideal that it is updated automatically. Another thing is how often you consult it. Be careful, do not make the mistake of checking your eCommerce dashboard daily and throwing up your hands if one day things go wrong.
