What style will you choose?

Post by arafatenzo »

Mark Preston in his book The Business Side of SEO (2017, p. 39) points out a misunderstanding of the word "content":

“Many people mistakenly think of the word ‘content’ as sales copy or blog posts, but to me, content is a fundamental component of any process that generates leads and sales. A sales process doesn’t work without content.

From start to finish, at every stage of the sales funnel, you are communicating with your prospect, and every form of that communication is content. Saying the wrong thing can make or break a deal.

Your content needs to be relevant to the person taiwan email list reading it. It needs to touch the reader emotionally. I'm not saying make them cry, but to reassure them that you understand their problems. No one is going to buy from us because we're really good anymore."

There is no single definition of what “content” is. Lee Odden, in his article “ What is Content? Learn from 40+ Content Definitions ,” has collected several definitions from marketers around the world. For example, Heidi Cohen describes “content” this way:

“Content is high-quality, useful information that tells a story, presented in a contextually relevant way, with the goal of evoking emotion or interest. Whether delivered in real-time or asynchronously, content can be expressed in a variety of formats, including text, images, video, audio, and/or presentations. If used for marketing purposes, content should include brand endorsement, not have any form of promotion, and should use a ‘call to action’ to make it actionable.”
