The impact of voice search

Post by arafatenzo »

The Knowledge Graph was introduced in 2012 and paved the way for future major algorithm changes. It was Google’s first step toward developing the meaning of entities and context rather than strings of keywords.
Google’s Knowledge Graph provides a quick overview of relevant information. “The Knowledge Graph lets you search for things, people, or places that Google knows about—landmarks, celebrities, cities, sports teams, buildings, geographic features, movies, celestial objects, artwork, and more—and instantly get relevant information for your query” (Amit Singhal, “ Introducing the Knowledge Graph: things, not strings ”).

Along with information from the Knowledge tajikistan email list Graph, so -called featured snippets can be displayed separately within the overall search results .

Hummingbird
In 2013, Google launched the Hummingbird update , arguably the beginning of the era of semantic search . Hummingbird uses NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) to ensure that “pages that match meaning will outperform pages that match just a few words.” Essentially, this means that pages that match the context and intent of the searcher will rank higher than pages that repeat keywords ad nauseam without proper context.
