You don't have to settle for the default location of your Dropbox folder on your computer—you can move it to almost any location on your local hard drive. Open the Dropbox client from the notification area on Windows or the menu bar on macOS, click your profile picture, then go to Settings, then the Sync tab. There, you can choose where to move your Dropbox folder.
7. Share Dropbox with your family
Like most modern digital services, Dropbox can be used by the whole family. The family plan includes 2 TB of cloud storage that can be shared between six different people and a shared folder that all members have access to. Other features, including password management and Dropbox Paper, are also available to all members of the plan. The cost of a family subscription is $20 per month.
8. Create a portfolio
Dropbox Professional is a $20 per month plan that, in addition to all the standard features, includes 3 TB of storage and a few additional tools. For example, the ability to add logos to files and view the traffic of all documents (whether they have been viewed). This subscription is suitable for those who want to create a portfolio and make it available to others.
9. Download photos and videos from selected albums
Dropbox recently added another new feature — the ability to greece number data automatically upload photos and videos from a specific album on your smartphone. In the Dropbox app for iOS, tap “Account,” “Camera Uploads,” and “Upload from…” to select the albums you want. This feature isn’t available on the Dropbox app for Android yet, but it should be coming soon.
10. Send files to anyone
Dropbox has its own robust file and folder sharing system. But there is also a separate tool called Dropbox Transfer. It has some additional features, such as allowing you to view file statistics. The recipient does not need to have a Dropbox account to receive the file.
To use Dropbox Transfer, sign in to the Dropbox web service, click the grid icon in the upper left corner, and select Dropbox Transfer. The maximum file size depends on your plan.
11.
The Dropbox web interface has also been recently updated. It now looks more like Windows Explorer or macOS Finder. On the left is an area with all your files and folders. If you click on them, you can see the information panel on the right. To customize the way your files look, click on the icon in the upper right corner above the file list.
