Midjourney's new feature: “Describe” explained

Post by Reddi2 »

Midjourney creates prompts from images
The AI image tool Midjourney with photorealistic images (in version 5) released a new practical function yesterday that is a great help when creating images. I will briefly introduce the function here and show you how it works.

My first tests were pretty convincing. Although the occasional mess was generated or the colors were mixed up, the style was often very close to the original image. An exact copy of the image was never created, but the style was recognized very well. Since Midjourney's prices also encourage experimentation, it is a clear recommendation!

What exactly can the new feature do?
With “Describe” you can upload any image and get the oman phone number data corresponding prompt along with various (sometimes quite complex) Midjourney-specific parameters.

You can then use these prompts directly or modify them to create new images in Midjourney that are very similar to the original image.

How do I use the new feature?
Just log in to the Midjourney Discord channel as usual and write "/describe". Then just upload the picture and off you go.

You will then receive four different prompt suggestions from Midjourney. In addition to a description, artists, styles, focal lengths or formats are also described and thus help enormously in improving your own prompts for Midjourney.

You can now select each suggestion individually and edit it before creating an image, perhaps to adjust or optimize details. Sometimes you just want the style of the image, but not the content.

My Midjourney Test
Here is a first test of the new function. As the original image, I used a random image with a random mood from Pixabay.
