The award was given to leaders of several countries

Economy
A team of scientists was awarded for their attempt to quantify the relationship between inequality and national income of different countries, with the average number of mouth-to-mouth kisses.

The laureates sought to examine cultural differences in “romantic mouth-to-mouth kissing” to see if this behavior could be a key mechanism for maintaining long-term pair bonds. The scientists recruited 3,109 participants from around the world for an online study.

“People kiss their partner more often and for longer in countries sweden number data where competition for resources is more intense. This mechanism may play an important role in maintaining long-term stable relationships in harsh environments,” the authors concluded .

Medical education
for using the COVID-19 pandemic to teach the world that politicians have a greater impact on people's lives and deaths than scientists and doctors. The laureates of the award are US President Donald Trump, Belarus' Alexander Lukashenko, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

Management
The award was given to a group of five Chinese hitmen who assigned the crime to each other, resulting in no harm to the victim. Each hitman subsequently hired received a smaller percentage of the fee, and none actually attempted to commit the murder.

Entomologists
The award went to American researcher Richard Vetter for gathering evidence that many entomologists (scientists who study insects) are afraid of spiders that are not insects.

The researcher found that arachnophobia is common among entomologists, given that they work so closely with these creatures. Vetter also wanted to learn more about what might trigger such aversion. He spoke to 41 entomologists, each of whom had unpleasant memories associated with spiders.

Medicine
Researchers have been awarded for diagnosing a long-unrecognized condition: misophonia, a malaise caused by other people making chewing sounds.

The study has an interesting origin story. Three patients were referred to a center for the study of obsessive-compulsive disorders in Amsterdam after reporting extreme discomfort and outbursts of aggression when they heard someone smacking or breathing loudly. Their condition, labeled “misophonia,” did not correspond to any existing disorder. When the news spread through a Dutch online forum, the scientists were contacted by nearly 50 people suffering from similar symptoms.
