What's the solution to all this?

Post by jrineakter »

The first modules, they were very relevant in content, because I did a lot of research. If I take module 2 on the French Revolution, well it's a very complete module. We talk about a lot of things about the French Revolution. I had hours of research. So the content is relevant, but the execution was not. I had no professional means in terms of sound, no professional means in terms of image. And when I look at it today, I despise myself, I say to myself: "What... How could you do that?" I use my glasses of today to judge a work that was done 7 years ago, so inevitably it's complicated.

Same for the 7 rules, I was talking about the 7 rules of Authentic French, they are of great quality, the latest rules, from an execution point of view once again, from a sound point of view, from a lighting point of view, from a microphone point of view, from a video editing point of view, we have great animations. And the old ones were extremely relevant. They were more than 5 million people, between 2014 and 2023. So the content is relevant. Yet when I look at these rules today, I say to myself: "Ah no, Johan, it was not worthy of your work", whereas at the time I did my best. But I still have this desire to be better today, 'well I have this guilt to be better today to say to myself: "Finally, was I good yesterday?"

So what's the solution? It's certainly not to stop trying to be better. We're trying to be better and that should motivate us. If you're listening to me, you're trying to be better too, by listening to these personal development podcasts, by learning a foreign language or by developing a foreign language. So of course, it's the same thing in fact as me. So you have to improve, you have to work hard, but there are two essential things.

The first is to respect the self of the past. So it's not falling into the trap, as I did, of saying: "Oh yeah, but before, I wasn't good because I didn't make good videos for the 7 rules, because oman whatsapp number data the microphone was average, because the tie-clip microphone didn't go under the shirt, but it went on the shirt and it's not pretty, because we didn't do any video editing, any editing". You have to respect yourself and recognize that you were doing your best at that time. At no point in my life did I say to myself: "I'm going to do something average". I always did my best.

So that's the key, trying to improve yourself, having the kaizen spirit, wanting to be a little bit better every day, evolving, but respecting yourself, respecting yourself currently, today, but respecting the old person you were even if that old person has fewer qualities, knowledge, skills, than the person you are today.

If we do that, it actually brings us serenity. It takes away the guilt. And the big big key is something I tell my daughter Emma all the time: "Do your best, that's all I ask of you. If you don't do your best, if you take things lightly, if you don't work hard enough and you get bad results, I won't be happy, even if you get good results. If you get good results even though you didn't work, I won't be happy. On the other hand, whatever your results at school, if you did your best, I'll be satisfied. And if you get bad results, I'll try to understand, I'll try to help you. But for me, the key is that you do your best."

So today, I am very very proud of the work accomplished for the 7 rules of Authentic French and I try to respect the Johan of 2014 who had made available 7 rules in a less professional way than today.

I invite you to go see these new rules. So you type www.francaisauthentique.com/cours-gratuit or you click on the link in the description, you put your address, there is a nice presentation video that I am also proud of on this page, you see what this course can do for you and you will receive, if you put your email address, the first rule tomorrow.
