A lot of religions talk about it

Post by jrineakter »

And a little side note, Raphael, he goes to bed early, he gets enough sleep, because it's hard to be in a good mood if you only sleep 6 hours, 6:30, because you watched Netflix or YouTube videos until 1 a.m. So you have to, of course, take care of your sleep. That's the first point on which we can take inspiration from Raphael.

Second point, Raphaël is 2 years old, he is present. When he has breakfast, he is with me. Often, we are just the two of us at breakfast or Emma and Tom are about to get up, it depends, but at the moment, we are more the two of us and he is not thinking about the nursery, he is 100% present with me. So of course, he does not tell me. I cannot know what is in his head, but we can clearly see on his face, on his smiles, that he is there, we can clearly see. When I look at him, I see that his mind is not elsewhere, he is with me, he is present. When he plays, he is 100% focused on the game. He is not playing and at the same time looking elsewhere. So he has a presence, a focus that is enormous.

And we know that being present is very important for our well-being. a lot of philosophies talk about it and I talked about it in a previous podcast from early January, maybe, I think it was thailand whatsapp number data January 4th, "Be present and focused". If you haven't listened to it, I recommend it because it's really a skill. I don't even know if it's a skill, but it's something we need in our lives. So we can take inspiration from Raphaël, he's present.

And finally, Raphaël, he is persistent, he perseveres. When he wants something, he makes it known and he does everything he can to get it, a little too much in fact. It is even very tiring for the parents. He is a bit like an ant. Ants, I don't know if you have ever, when you were a child, tried to stop an ant from going to its nest, you put a piece of wood, you stop it, how long will it try to get around the obstacles, the ant? The time it will take in fact. If it has to take 10 hours, it will take 10 hours. If it has to be until death, it will be until death. And I have the impression that it is the same with Raphaël, that when he has made a decision, when he wants something, well nothing will stop him. He will persist, persevere.

And we all tend to give up or accept a situation we don't want. And I find his persistence... it's inspiring in fact. So of course, as an adult, you have to add some notions of politeness and not be stubborn, because at 2 years old, you don't try to imagine the consequences, so of course there has to be a limit to perseverance, but really as an adult we tend to give up too quickly and seeing my son Raphaël never, never, never give up, persist, well I find that inspiring.
