The World of Website Optimization

Post by ritu2000 »

I decided to do my second student internship at the company “Klickkonzept”, an online marketing agency.

The decision for my second internship was difficult for me. My first internship was at a craft business and I knew that I wanted to get an insight into office life. Nevertheless, the decision was not easy for me as I had no idea what I wanted to do later. My godmother made me aware of online marketing and thus of Klickkonzept. Since I am already a "PC person" who spends a lot of time online and online marketing is considered to be the future, I thought it could be very interesting and fun. However, I did not expect that I would enjoy it so much and that everyone there would be so nice to me.

Up until that point, I had only had experience austria phone number list with large corporations through my mother or a small craft business where I already knew the boss. That's why I was so surprised that I felt welcome after just one day.

Insight into SEO: During my two-week internship, I gained insight into various areas of SEO, SEA and Amazon. I got the most insight into SEO, as I was deployed in this department for most of the first week and was also assigned a seat there. Before my internship, I didn't really know much about online marketing. The only thing I knew was that you try to generate more sales in different ways. What I didn't expect, however, was that online marketing is so much more, such as SEO, which is all about the organic optimization of the website and so-called owned traffic.

During my appointments in this area, I learned about various tools, including Screaming Frog. This pretends to be a Google bot, searches the entire website and shows, for example, which links are searchable, can be opened, or do not work or are deliberately blocked. I was also shown Google Analytics, so at least the basics, because anything would be too much. What surprised me about SEO was how much data is analyzed and the effort that is put into getting to the top of the organic search results.
