But first: let me take a selfie

Post by Bappy11 »

A message on social media without an image is something that is not often seen anymore. A visual attracts attention, that is common knowledge. But how do you create visual content that makes people stop scrolling? Which use of images increases the chance of conversion? Kirsten Jassies has been studying visual content on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Pinterest for years. She shared her tips for using images on social media with me. I looked for a few gems for inspiration.

“Hey, I know that one!” How often do you have that reaction when you’re scrolling through your social media feed and see a familiar face? Recognition stands out and makes users stop scrolling. A selfie even creates more interaction: when you see someone, it’s easier to talk to them.

Only useful for influencers? Definitely not! People make your brand human (duh). What about telegram data IC doctor Diederik Gommers who reached 150,000 followers on Instagram in 3 days. He uses his account to show the Dutch what it's like in intensive care in times of corona.

2. Not sure if meme or effective marketing
Of course, you don't have to completely abandon text in your social media messages. Text and image can actually reinforce each other. Have you ever thought about using memes on your social media? A meme makes people laugh. I don't have to tell you that messages that evoke emotion are more likely to stick.
