The User as Google Persona: A Self-Test
Okay, but what exactly does Google know about the user? I'll do the self-test.
I like to think of myself as "not so smartphone-obsessed" and can even go a few hours without it. I make fun of " smombies " – or get annoyed with them when they run in front of my bike, their eyes glued to their iPhones. Even the "Lift your gaze" sign painted in bright yellow on the sidewalk at Cologne's Neumarkt doesn't help.
I. Have. No. Mobile. Data. Really. I have a prepaid card that I load bahrain cell phone number list onto every three months, and I use Wi-Fi. My smartphone isn't the latest generation; I can't really do much more than WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, the internet, Maps, Foodora, Car2Go, and DriveNow.
As a content manager, I have the florist's problem. I avoid my laptop at home like the plague. At work, I'm not logged in with my personal Google account.
Let's take a look.Any user with a Google Account can view the criteria on which Google delivers personalized ads in Google Ad Settings . Google develops a persona with demographic data and interests. The results are based on data from the Google Account, data from Google advertising partners, and Google's assumptions about your interests.
So is my data flow relatively limited?
