How to Connect Google Analytics to Google Search Console?

If you are going to try this method, you will need to have “View, Edit, and Manage” permissions enabled for your account in GTM. Before trying this method, take a look at your site’s HTML code to make sure the GTM code is placed immediately after your site’s <Body> tag.

From the Google Search Console dashboard, select “Manage Site,” then “Verify This Site.” If you don’t see “Domain Provider” under “Recommended Method,” look under the “Alternative Method” tab.

Select “Google Tag Manager” and click “Verify.” If the albania phone number library Google Tag Manager code is found, you should see a screen letting you know your site has been verified.

Once your site is verified, do not remove the GTM code from your site, otherwise your site will not be verified.

Google Analytics and Google Search Console may seem like they offer the same information, but there are some important differences between these two Google products. GA provides information about who visited your site – how many visitors you got, how they got to your site, how much time they spent on your site, and where your visitors came from. Google Search Console, by contrast, is more geared toward internal information, such as if your site has malware or other issues, and what keyword queries your site appears in search results for. Analytics and Search Console also don’t handle some information the same way.

To get the most out of the information provided by Search Console and GA, you can link accounts for each. Linking these two tools will combine data from both sources to provide additional reports that you can only access after doing so.

Has Your Site Been Added and Verified in Google Search Console?
From the Search Console dashboard, click on the site you are trying to connect to. In the top right corner, you will see a gear icon. Click on it, then select “Google Analytics Property.”
