Feelings of superiority, exhibitionism and vanity are the three traits that best define members of the Millennial Genera

Feelings of superiority, exhibitionism and vanity are the three traits that best define members of the Millennial Generation, according to a recent study conducted in Germany by the Syzygy agency .

Millennials (those born between 1981 and 1988) are the first generation of the so-called (and omnipresent) digital natives. And the culprits of their narcissism raised to the maximum power are, according to the Syzyygy report, new technologies such as smartphones , social media and on-demand apps (Uber, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.).

These technologies have the power to decisively change the thinking and behavior of members of Generation Y, according to the Syzygy study (aptly named “Egotech” ).

Millennials are 13% more narcissistic than previous generations. And 48% would rather give up breakfast for a month than have to give up their loved one's smartphone.

And not only that. 28% of millennials morocco phone data would be happy to give up sex for a month just to keep their smartphone close at hand.

Millennials are 30% more addicted to their inseparable mobile phone than those who are not part of Generation Y.

According to the Syzygy study, the Millennial generation's deep narcissism is closely related to the use of on-demand apps . The more such apps millennials use, the higher their degree of egocentrism. Young people who use three or more on-demand apps are 20% more narcissistic than those who use fewer on-demand apps.

On the other hand, those who publish three or more posts a day on social media have 25% higher levels of egomania than those who spend less time typing (and taking selfies) on social networks.

On average, millennials post between two and three selfies a week on social media . Not surprisingly, one in three photos uploaded to social media platforms by members of this generation is a selfie.

What conclusions does this report bring to the table for brands? If they want to convert millennials into their customers, they must provide them with services and technologies that massage their ego and support them in staging themselves in the world.
