The next step in your relationship with your followers on Google+
In this article by Saskia de Laat you will find a lot of inspiration for content that works well on social media. Use this input and add something to it. Ask yourself in what way you can apply these tips, so that you ultimately take a step further in the relationship with your followers within Google+.
For example, in the tip 'Fixed themes and categories' a restaurant with a Pinterest account can post a different series of photos every month, of their dishes with the seasonal vegetables that are available at that time. Within Google+ a possible fixed theme could be a bi-weekly interview with one of your followers. Same tip, different application.

How do you influence people with your content? According to Cor Hospes, this can be achieved by reciprocity (give free information with value, helping someone and at the same time catching them in the social obligation to do something for you in return), sympathy (we feel more sympathy for people who are similar to us) and by positioning yourself as an authority (ensure that others are kept informed of your expertise with your content). Again, make the translation here.
Reciprocity: Answering (implicit) questions
On Facebook you post interesting, informative and inspiring content. You do this within Google+ as well, but here you make sure that you answer questions that are asked within Google+ or elsewhere or you answer questions that are asked implicitly. You get this information from comments or questions from other social media and from the biweekly interview with your followers, the previously mentioned recurring section. Incidentally, this also falls under the heading Authority, further on in this article.
Sympathy: give your colleagues a face
Cor Hospes says the following in his article: “Also search online for singapore mobile phone number list similarities of a customer and don't be sparing with compliments”. I say, take this to a higher level within Google+. The colleagues in your company are, if you are lucky, different quirky individuals with different cultural backgrounds, with different sexual preferences and have the most diverse interests.
Your company is what connects all these individuals. Chances are that your audience consists of the same diverse group as your colleagues. So show your colleagues and give them a face. And a voice on Google+, whether or not in a Hangout, and in this way arouse sympathy, create a dialogue and create a stronger bond with your audience.
Authority: you know everything about your field
You are the authority in what you do, and your Google+ page reflects that with impactful photos and other visuals, up-to-date information and inspiring content. You know more than just your product, you deal with all kinds of trends and regulations at home and abroad, so you know everything.
Because your goal in Google+ is to take your relationship a step further than in other social networks, you assert your authority by answering product-related questions from your audience directly and indirectly. In a regular section on your Google+ page, or during a Hangout. And in this way you also work on reciprocity and sympathy. Isn't it nice how everything fits together.
